A lot of advice on how to organise your clothes, how to style etc are relient on you buying new clothes that are often sponsored, or affiliated to a brand.

Here at Your Closet Edit we are about helping you to utilise the closet that you arleady have. Our aim is for you to fall in love with the clothes that you have. To mix and match what is already there. To help you to make things fit better. If this is necessary then full disclosure there would be a charge for alterations. Tailoring etc. However we believe in Fashion being more sustainable. We will teach you how to care for your clothes. How to do repairs yourself if you want too. A lot of this information will be over on our Blog Page.

So if you want to stop buying fast fashion, be more aware of the sustainability of your own closet then do sign up for the news letter. Have a look at the blog as it is there to help inform you. If you don't have the skills to repair/alter then we will put you intouch with one of our trusted seamstresses. Of course if you dont need that service that is perfectly fine.

Lets fall back in love with the clothes that we have already.

MEET US

Hi I am Maryclare, now in my 60's, I have been working with fashion, clothing alterations and creating clothes for over 50 years!. I have learned the cost of our trade to the Planet, and the havoc fast fashion is creating today. My aim, is to help you to utilise the clothes that you already have. To take another look at them and to create a wardrobe that you love without having to follow the trend. It is better for your pocket, not needing to purchase new clothes every season. It is better for the environment if we take the time to care for the clothes that we already have, and not be buying into the cheaply made, every few weeks. Paying poor wages, and using cheap materials that use thousands of gallons of water to make. Manmade fabrics using resources like petro chemicals. Although we are now using things like recycled plastic bottles to make clothes. Is that really greener?
